Our student council is an active part of the Roose elementary student body and consists of students from 5th grade. Students chosen for student council must maintain a 1-2 in their citizenship grades and maintain an exemplary academic record.
Meetings are held once a month during lunch. Some activities of the student council include planning spirit days for our school, promoting school spirit and unity within Roose, and serving by example as positive role models to the Roose student body.
We have collected Coins for the Leukemia Society, made fleece blankets for Children's Hospital, and collected donations for the Humane Society. We most recently collected money to purchase a "buddy bench" for our school playground.
